Kirk Reese began playing bluegrass guitar in college after a few years of playing mostly electric music.

He moved to Seattle from Iowa in the winter of 2000, picked up the mandolin and after a couple of years was playing in a couple of different local bluegrass and hillbilly bands.

He still performs solo and writes his own music, but is having a great time playing bluegrass again.
